If I do it they'll be more autistic rather than artisitc

Any chance CW can pull something off the site ?

heh... well its 10mins from my house so I sort of roll out of bed into the safezone... ;)

Heh... on the other hand Gucci tends to be quite late.

9am is about right... much earlier and you'll be there before the site owner.

Basically don't bother turning up before 8:30am.

Usually there's free choccie bars if you help put the tent and safezone fence up... :)

Once things are set up the safety brief is pretty quick and you're soon playing...

I'll sort some flyers out - mini versions of the poster (in production I assure you  )

Webby is coming on Sat, young Orky will be wearing my US kit and I am trying to persuade Ade to come too, from a publicity point of view to the F&O regulars a fair sprinkling of Axis, GI's and Brits should get them thinking...

It's been a bit quiet from Gadge - anyone in touch with him and is he coming on Sat?

I'll be there too in M43's....although my trousers are bastard versions of the real thing. Must go to a fair to get some proper ones before Dec 17th.

See you there.

S

Gadge will not be there... he has no money... has broken up with his girlfriend and has loads of work to do on his course.

Basically he'll be out of action until mid November...

Good on all the other stuff... its ages since I've seen ade!

Not being funny, but if I'm going to drive for an hour and half to get to Matlock, I want to have a useful meeting with all involved about our game, rather than just help Gucci set up and then watch you all bugger off to play in the woods at 10 . This is the only reason I'm coming down so I want to feel it's time well spent .
Apologies if this sounds a bit harsh .

No probs Guy... I will be wanting to discuss a lot with Gucci...

Perhaps we should make an agenda...

I'll start with a few items:

1) cost
2) collection of money... deposits?
3) minimum number of players for the event to go ahead.
4) maximum number of players as well
5) marshalling... who and how much will be needed
6) pyros... how much and where and when... specific scenario usage (also bring up Kermit's suggestion of a professional guy to do it... though Major is a mate so I'd prefer him to do it. :) )
7) Flyers and leaving some with Gucci for handing out at F&O events we don't get to.
8 ) Run through the scenario and get ideas from Gucci. Guy, please bring a current print of the scenario and maybe also email or pm one to Gucci beforehand.
9) Getting 100% confirmation of the date... is that what we've got right now?
10) I'd like to use a whistle in game for signalling (I have a 1945 british service whistle I'd like to use) in order for it to not clash with marshall signalling I'm willing to supply an airhorn to the marshalls for use in the game, is this necessary... what are Gucci's thoughts?
11) Discuss and explain weapons and kit limitations to Gucci so he can pass the info on to prospective players at F&O and also maybe kit himself out. Chomley, I think this is more your area... perhaps a nice print-out of the rules we have now?
12) Gucci usually does all the talking to the players at events... (i.e. safety breif, site rules, scenario briefings and debriefs.) Does he want to continue to do all of this himself or shall one of us to the scenario briefs and debriefs?
13) Getting an advertising thread on the F&O forums...

Please add stuff I've missed...

Also of course we'll need to try and get the regular players interested in playing by mixing and chatting about WW2... get advertising! Handing out flyers... etc, etc...

Loads of stuff to do and discuss. Having written that list I'm kinda getting nervous that this could take ages!

Thanks Rich , that agenda is great and makes sense of the meeting .
I'll email the scenario as it stands (Version 1) to all before Saturday .
Cheers
Guy

BTW I think I'll be seeing you at LFW the following day ( of course I haven't booked  )

I suggest you get yourself booked in... Shaun is a little more on the ball about bookings than Gucci...

BTW... I'll be in my WW2 kit for LFW as well.

Had a word with Gucci... we now have a thread up on the F&O forums...

Also... Dave, can you sort out extra of the flyers to leave with Gucci for him to hand out to players at future events?

Gucci also suggested maybe a poster could be put up in places like Anchor (etc)...

Right-o, I'll do my best to get that all done for Saturday.

It looks like we are building up a good head of steam for this event now - word is getting around (and they keep popping up - had two more at Phoenix on Sunday who were keen as mustard).

Jaunty angle is good!

I'll sort some forum posts out when I have finished work on the images.

Funny, isn't it. Everyone looks at themselves with a critical eye. I was thinking 'Oh crap, my cap looks way too big'. I think you three look spot on though!

I look like I can't smoke.

Still I'm quite keen on the one with Oldsweat on his knees and the tree perspective going off into the background. Looks great.
